So true.

In other news, I got a 5 on Minesweeper beginner beating my old time of 6 seconds. This brings my scores to:

Beginner: 5
Intermediate: 29
Expert: 95
Expert no flags: 125

I believe those are the fastest times that I have ever heard of, but I could be wrong.

Go ahead and stereotype. It's true, we're all like this. (Thanks, Julie.)

In other news, last weekend I went to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. I get back and I'm reading Sunday's newspaper. There's an article about admissions to colleges. I'm not sure how trustworthy the article was because it was by a reporter that spent a year with college admissions officers at Wesleyan, a school which he described as elite, automatically reducing his credibility. He goes on to talk about how admissions officers subjective opinions can ruin a students chances by providing a bad summary (even if by accident) when in meetings with other admissions officers. It also discusses how "legacy" students have a much much higher chance of being accepted than other students even if they have better scores.

This is crap. I'm going to sound pretentious, but I wish I had applied to more lower ranked tier 1 schools, which seem to qualify as "elite" by the standards of the reporter. This way I could turn them down. Ha, those fools. Seriously, someone has to get them back for being stupid asses. I believe that Colorado School of Mines actually believed I was going to go there. I mean, how fun was this to do.

I haven't posted for a while. Why? It's my last week working at Northrop Grumman. Tomorrow is my last day (urge to steal office supplies). I don't have much to do so I've been wasting the entire day on Gaia.

In other news, the weather was crazy today. Crazy. Noon, two of my managers/bosses take me out to lunch at Claim Jumper. It was hot as hell, bright sunny day with no clouds. Skip forward to quiting time. The sky is dark with black and grey clouds. Then, it rains harder than I've ever seen it rain in San Diego since my driver's liscense test (it hailed that day). I had to use the highest setting on my windshield wiper and yet I still couldn't see well. Crazy.

Whee... I rocked your ass in badminton today. Well probably not your ass unless you were at the community center today.

I played a ton of badminton this summer. I think I'm finally back to where I was before high school when I stopped playing. Now, I can play with MIT Badminton club without losing crappily.

Chao, 15-0 man. Hahaha.

A win for file swappers. It was a Massachusetts court too. Makes it safer for me at MIT.

The benefits of being rich. I bet there are other people that are actually doing this too. Would have been weird if the husband had died first. Then, the two families would find out that he had double life after he wasn't around anymore. Or one of the families would never find out. Weird.

It's my dad's birthday. Birthday shoutout, whee...

Happy Birthday Dad!

This comic from Nekobox is the best Pokémon parody ever.

Been to the beach quite a few times this summer (still not very tan, at least not MIT-pale anymore). Conclusion: I am an idiot.

What the hell made me decide to go away from this place and go to MIT? Hot girls coming out of the seams here. That or my MIT glasses make a ton of girls look hot. Of course, MIT has a few hot girls, but they are all wrapped up because its cold (sun=skin). I should have gone to UCSD.

It's not having what you want
It's wanting what you've got

I'm gonna soak up the sun
Gonna tell everyone
To lighten up (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
I'm gonna soak up the sun

My throat has been feeling sort of scratchy for the past few days. My mom noticed it this morning and said, "Do you want to bring two e. coli with you to work?" For sooth, she meant Ricola, the cough suppressant from Switzerland.

In other news, my car finally got fixed after sitting in the shop for 5 days. This was a major ass problem because my parents didn't take my stuff out of my car when they took it to the shop. Stuff like the badge that I need to use to get into my workplace.

In other other news, Arnold may be the governor of California. If Jesse Ventura can do it, so can anyone else. At least that's what hundreds of freaks are thinking when they sign up to be on the ballot for the Grey Davis Recall election. There's better places to use the $3500 registration fee. Freaks.

Finally saw Pirates of the Caribbean. It was great. The best movie I've seen for a while. Since, The Italian Job in fact.

In other news, I had an eye exam a few days ago. In very un-MIT nerd and un-asian fashion, I have 20/20 vision in both eyes. Yeah, me.
