Weird, site traffic is slacking a bit in the past few days. Though over 4600 hits in February is still a freaking lot.
Does it have something to do with all the people searching for "xanga backgrounds" getting smarter and just looking for regular backgrounds? Or perhaps I made enough posts for the words "xanga background" to fall off the front page.
Or is it because Dell fixed their messageapp.exe problem so I get no more "message app" searches?
I'm not really sure. Also, xanga traffic seems to be down a lot. Is it because MIT or even the world got tired of xanga?

Two fairly uneventful EMT shifts with 8 hours of sleep in between. At least for me.
One of the stupid ArtCarved representatives jammed a ring much too small onto a girl's finger. So started the first shift by cutting through a solid steel demo ring.
Then nothing until just before the second shift ended. But the person wasn't hurt badly and refused transport.
However, I saw a bunch of emergency lights in Central when we were picking up the next shift workers. And now, out my window, I can see a bunch of emergency vehicles on the bridge. They are basically filling up the entire bridge. I wonder what's going on.

A Scientific Explaination for Procrastination
Today in 24.02 we examined a case in which (in the afterlife) God offered you 1 hour in Heaven now or 2 hours in Heaven later. One would rationally choose 2 hours later. After an hour, he offers you the 2 hours or 3 hours later. 3 hours later is obviously the better choice. Hours spent in purgatory don't matter because before or after the Heaven trip, you would spend there anyway.
God continues to make new offers that are better. However, in the end, this series of rational choices of longer time later causes the irrational conclusion of never getting any time in Heaven. Viewing the entire set of choices, this would mean at some point one would need to choose to go to Heaven. How to determine this point, because at every local decision, there is a better decision coming later?
In the infinite time that the afterlife exists, this is impossible. However, in the finite time of a lifespan, one can easily choose take it now because eventually, you'll die and can't choose. Thus, one chooses to procrastinate now rather than to work for the possibility of relaxation time later.

Busy busy week. Nothing like an EMT shift to end it and start off a busy weekend. Fifth shift I think. Three more calls. Two emergency (both arm injuries) and one transfer. It was fun. We tried to sneak into LSC but some dorky director "preferred if we didn't stay."
Haha, my collection of non-latex gloves keeps growing.

Update: The huge spike in the graph is mostly from the porn site. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Well it's probably back to normal insignificant nethood soon.
In other news, two packages today! One from my mommy with cake and cookies. Wuhoo! The other with new lion dance equipment. Wuhoo!

Holy crap! Some porn site linked my media page because of the How to Fold Clothes video. And I got something like 600 hits from them so far. Here's the entry on their blog but it's porn, so don't click if you are going to be offended.

Holy crap, theres a less than 20 degree difference between Boston and San Diego tempurature!!!! What a rare day during the winter this is. It's actually good cause I have no hair and I won't get hypothermia. Well, if I do, I can always call MIT EMS. Haha

Fourth ambulance shift today. Someone finally got his MIT EMS shirt. Wuhoo!
Finally got an emergency call today. Wuhoo, again! As you may recall, I had one transfer in another shift. Then we got a transfer from MIT Medical to MGH. Later, we got called to take the guy back from MGH to MIT Medical.
In other news, new snow pics are up.
Oh joy, still at Boston Med Center. Taking some extra hours so I don't have to do so many later.
Sort of a bad idea cause I need to meet with Tiff about Banquet stuff at 7AM before I get on the ambulance for 8 hours.

Course 6 Reg Day Social Hour. More like unsocial hour. Free pizza and a bunch-o-nerds. But as they say: A meal that cost my dignity is still free.

Amazing, ranked third for "emt training".
Class is over, but I think I still have a few pics I haven't put up and I'll probably have some from when I work on the ambulance.

Stigmata is very accurate to reality for a movie about Christian mysticism.
I know from the EMT class that the emergency room scene is very very good. The whole crucifixion happened through the wrists not the hands. Apart from the stigmatic attacks, everything is very realistic.
It was a pretty good movie. Nicely done, acted, and directed. Watching The Order has gotten me interested in the "dark side" of Christianity.
Both movies basically convince me that my belief of personal piety is correct. If there is a god, there shouldn't be anyone between a person and the god.
The kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, not in buildings of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there lift a stone and you will find me.
