Happy Birthday Amy!

See you in lab.

Baker is infested with rats.

Yes, my room included. How come they weren't here first semester? I bet it was that big pile of stuff that I let Susan and Danielle leave in my room. One of the mousetraps that Jon Nolan set up 3 months ago finally caught a rat. Good thing I have all those gloves from being an EMT, cause it was gross. I don't want to touch dead rats.

If MIT wants to not have students live in Baker for the summer, I wish that instead of using it as a hotel for conferences and summer programs that they exterminate all the rats. That would be a site. A huge extermination tent covering the entire dorm.

Pin Pin Lapin

This is the most amazing webpage I have ever seen in my life. First, the movie is insane and funny. Then explore Pinpin-land. The graphics...the layout...the navigation...all the best. It's French, but I can get past that like I do with French Fries. Done by Studio Tanuki.

Remember this phone from my xanga?

Here's some more pictures of it (second one is a related model). Drool... Too bad retail is projected at $900.

Webcomics Lecture!

Randy Milholland decided to come too. I can't believe MIT students were able to book such awesome webartists. Too bad it's the week before Spring Break and most people are sitting in their room working.

Edit:
Yay, got a picture from Sam Brown for Lara. And a bunch of Clango Club stickers from RStevens.

Yes, I love the weather.

It's snowing again. I just wish that it was enough to cause a snow day. It would seriously help me out a lot. Well at least the snow on the Baker D lights look good.

Hmm...something is up with Keenspot.

About a third of the webcomics I read are Keenspot comics. The others runs their comics off their own servers with their own coding.

Suddenly, a bunch of them have decided to switch to Keenspot. I always thought of Keenspot as an entity that provided free hosting and coding for webcomics in return for a few ad banners and the like. It was there as a resource and some artists used it. It seems almost as if they are now actively seeking out major webcomics to join the group.

Recent additions to Keenspot include: Striptease, Polymer City Chronicals, Sore Thumbs, and Skirting Danger. Sore Thumbs is, of course, new and not switching.

The only major difference is Skirting Danger moving off of a subscription service. Which will cause me to start reading it. I understand that webartists should get some kind of compensation, but I just don't believe that a subscription is the way to go. Merchandise and premium content are more the way to go.

Lion Dance dumpling night yesterday.

Officially president now after certain rituals and other stuff.

Wuhoo! I got my stethoscope today.

Wednesday, March 10, 2004

I was there on day one along with 22,210 other people. The Sore Thumbs webcomic premier that is. Apparently, this is the largest webcomic premier in history. Anyway, the art is definitely good, but still don't know about the writing yet, but it does portent to be pretty good. [I've edited for grammar at least 3 times already, I must be stupid or something.]

In other news, there's two incredibly ditzy girls talking about stupid stupid stuff sitting right next to me. Stupid hazards of using a laptop.

Holy crap!

I rank number 1 on a google search for "John Wu". That's right, I out rank that fool that thinks he is the "The Real John Wu" and the other legions of people named John Wu.

Thanks for the slightly late Birthday, Shams and Lara.

It was in fact, better than my actual birthday spent doing AV and other stuff at the CSC Banquet and almost not getting recognized for it.

Thanks EurRae!
EunRaeOh (1:27:29 PM): i didnt know it was ur bday on 15th..?..
EunRaeOh (1:27:40 PM): u turned 20.?..

I've kind of forgotten about these for a while:

Happy Birthday Irene!

In other news, does anyone know what "crazy machine level 78" is? People keep getting to my site while searching for it. Not as frequent as "xanga backgrounds" or "messageapp", but still frequent enough.

The right click of my optical mouse broke. It's unimaginablely annoying. I mean, computer use is so ingrained in me that it just throws me when I uncounsiously try to right click and what's supposed to happen doesn't happen.

Maybe I should get a wireless mouse or maybe even a wireless mouse and keyboard. That would be pretty freaking cool.

I'm gonna be the same as everyone else and say. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. WOW.

11 Oscars for 11 nominations.

According to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, no movie with over 10 nominations has ever won all of them. (Also, 11 wins is the most ever, tying with Titanic and Ben-Hur.)
