Just finished watching Gundam SEED. So good. Watching the first season of Gundam SEED Destiny now. At first, I didn't think I'd like it cause Gundam Wing kind of fizzed out for me and I never really finished it. However, SEED was great.

The definition of Gundam has changed though. In Wing, the mobile suits were called Gundams because they were made of Gundamium alloy. In SEED, the mobile suits are equipted with the navigation/control OS with the acronym GUNDAM. It's kind of weird.

Also, watched House of Flying Daggers yesterday. Concept was pretty good and the fighting was pretty good. However, it just wasn't good. They had a bunch of very slow and nearly pointless love scenes. Also, the ending was really really disappointing.

No updates for a week plus cause I was on vacation with my parents and my brother in Cancun.

Summed up in one word: HOT

More detail (but still missing some stuff probably):
Day 1: Redeye flight arrived at around 10AM I think. Somehow got hooked into listening to boring timeshare stuff by some "airport worker". Spent the afternoon quietly joking about sales techniques with my brother and falling asleep from boredom. The sales representative was nice though. Her managers were crazy. She has like 7 bosses Office Space style.

Day 2: Tulum and Xel-Ha. Tulum was some kind of ruins or something. It was hot and I was happy to get to Xel-Ha because it was this theme park around a lagoon where you could snorkle and stuff.

Day 3: Downtown Cancun. Walked around downtown. Bought some stuff from the flea market known as Market 28. All the shops sell the same stuff. Got some more keychains for my collection. Then we went to Walmart. It was huge and kind of like Costco or something. We got some fruit and other food.

Day 4: Chichen Itza. Used to be a major Mayan city. AKA chicken pizza. It was really hot that day. Me and my bro just sat at the top of the huge stepped pyramid for a while. It's got a good view. And the wind was nice.

Day 5: Xcarat. Did another timeshare thing since it was only supposed to take a little bit of time and they gave us free tickets. The sales rep was a former NBA player (not really a famous one). Still, they kept using stupid sales techniques (all of which I know from my Cutco sales job) and took forever. Then after we said no to the offer (over and over) they tried to not give us the full "incentive" they promised for going. So, MAYAN PALACE RESORTS SUCK and never go to them. Xcarat was ok. The park was kind of nice but don't snorkle the underground river if you go...the Mayan City river is much nicer. The real draw of the park is the night show they put on with displays beginning with Mayan culture and dancing and going on to more modern Mexican culture and dancing.

Day 6: Beach. It was hot while walking there. Then suddenly right after Jimmy and I go into the water, dark clouds form and it rains. We stayed in the water cause it was warmer and the wind chill outside the water sucked. Well whatever, we have beaches in SD.

Day 7: Flight back. Holiday delays and the like. I'm missing my Cutco pocketknife and the multitool that Kelvin got me still. They'll probably get it to me eventually.

Back home.

Watched a crapload of documentaries on King Arthur on the History Channel. Got my mangled luggage after it didn't arrive at the airport with me. Stuffed myself at my mom and bro's company Holiday party. Played badminton. Uploaded a techno heavy Radio Blog update.

As I work for ATIC, I get announcements about cool stuff like this new talking search engine, Speegle. Still if Lindows violates trademark on Windows, then this suspiciously close to violating Google's trademark.

Lindows is now Linspire and their website looks like a clone of Apple's.

There's a new Speedy Santa map out.

My old score of 8.077 sec apparently wasn't that fast.

Haiming's 1334 skills forced me to play some more. Unfortunately I only got to 7.674.

Since I caught the new map just as it was released...I was able to get a Global Ranking of 63. I think my time is pretty fast anyway...but watch me get proven wrong.

EDIT: whee...11.191.

If you know me at all, you know this is me.

This is actually a funny joke if you can read it.
(it may take a long time to load, Real Life's servers are t3h s|_|c|< at the moment)

EDIT: Doesn't it seem like Britney would have her own charter plane in which she could stink up as much as she wanted?

And how ugly are you when after plastic surgury, you still don't look that good?

Yup, been reading The Superficial a lot.

Mercedes Benz's The Porter is such a direct ripoff of BMW Films it's not even funny. Plus, they don't even do nearly as good of a job as BMW has.

In other news, this game is hard. On the other hand, I mastered this one pretty quickly. My top time is 8.077 sec.

In more other news, Japanese people are crazy. It's true. Just look at these pictures.

EDIT: Upped my score to 7.984 sec. Still: Damn You All! Now I'm gonna be stuck playing until I get a better score.

Happy Birthday, Grace Lo!

(Kelvin is lame and copied my birthday shoutout thing.)

Just feel the need to link Child's Play again:

In other news, diva JLo likes to taunt poor people.

Whooo...set up a PHP/flash based radio system. I can convert and upload any songs I want. It's pretty cool. You'll find it here for future reference.

In other news...the PSP previews apparently got released in Japan. Here's some pictures and videos. It looks really nice. Haven't had time to look at the vidoes...it looks like the media is modified minidisks.

Hmm...just realized. This is the longest I've ever gone without seeing my parents or my brother in my entire life. Haven't been home since summer, even skipped Thanksgiving break.

Yes, I didn't go home frosh year either. However, my parents and Jimmy visited during MIT's Parents Weekend (partially for visiting schools).

Either way, it feels kind of weird to not be with my brother cause like we used to do nearly everything together back before I came to MIT and when I'm home for breaks. I dunno why this weird feeling of homesickness is hitting right now as I sit in an Athena computer lab while on EMT duty this weekend...but yeah...it's like that.

In other news, people in MIT EMS are lazy fools and thus I'm working 4 shifts for 32 hours of EMT duty this weekend. This puts me over 200 hours of service for the semester. Yes...I rock you at community service.

We really need to do this at some point.

In other news, I hate when "blog" gets defined incorrectly. For example, Merriam-Webster Dictionary defined blog as "a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments and often hyperlinks" and Reuters believed it.

Note: "blog" is short for weblog, (not web log). That Kottke.org article also defines blog correctly as "a chronologically-ordered frequently-updated website".

Note: Kottke.org is one of the oldest weblogs on the internet.

Note: I know a lot about weblogs because I'm also fairly old. However, at one point, I did a bunch of research on weblogs and found this article among others.

Note: Rebecca's Pocket is one of the other "original 23 blogs".

Note: Speaking of old blogs. The first website by Tim Berners-Lee was a weblog, as it was dated and posted on chronologically.

Happy Birthday Emily!

I'll send you a LD sweatshirt when they arrive next week. Yay!

Wonder how much of this is true.

The influence of Emily makes you positive, self-assertive, and independent. You can be creative, inventive, and ingenious in practical matters, such as handicrafts. When you have the opportunity to pursue your own goals and interests free from interference, you can feel very agreeable and express a buoyant optimism. On the other hand, you can be impulsive and forceful when opposed, and act without due forethought and discretion. Hence you have many bitter experiences and generally rather unsettled conditions in your life, with little progress and financial accumulation. You cannot tolerate any domination by others, or circumstances that restrict your freedom and independence. You are inclined to make changes abruptly in your life as an escape from such conditions. When annoyed or offended, you can be very candid and sarcastic in your speech. Many disruptions in friendship and association have thus resulted. Verbal expression is difficult for you, and you can be forthright in situations requiring delicacy, even though it is not your intention to be. The intensity of your nature would cause you to suffer in the senses of the head, as well as with digestive problems. You also would have a sensitivity in your solar plexus. In extreme cases, mental turmoil, major stomach operations, and accidents of a serious nature could occur.

Two cool video's here and here. That is all.
