Basically, I'm normally on call Q4. That's bad enough already since you get kind of wiped out the next day too. But I'm doing Q2 now since the other med student's call schedule is 2 days offset of mine. So I'm going to be wiped out for like 6 days. Unfortunately, on that 6th day, I have to do a trial run of my grand rounds presentation. For which I still have to finish researching and create. I might not have wanted to switch if I had realized this was going to happen.
Fortunately, I'll still have a week to polish it up after the trial run (some people have the presentation the day after the trial run). So I probably just have to get a rough (but somewhat polished) draft done.
In other news, these organ figurines are pretty awesome. Little organ, dressed in a hospital gown. The diseased ones like the iron lung, heart of gold, or pickled liver are clever and done well. But if I got any, I'd kind of like the healthy versions since they are more broad, if that makes any sense. Too bad they are black box and kind of expensive. As important as plasma and red blood cells are in terms of donated biological products, I wouldn't really be too excited to open the box to find that I randomly got the figurines representing them.
